Winnipeg Karate Lessons
The Legion is closed and no contract sports are allowed, therefore we will be closed until September.
After much consideration NWIK must follow the recommendations of our healthcare professionals and for the next 3 weeks suspend classes. The legion where we operate out of is following these guidelines also. It is not recommended large gatherings and recommended social distancing. Regular hand cleaning and surface disinfecting is a must. Follow common cold and flu practices. Cough into your elbow or Kleenex. Drink fluids constantly as a dry throat is a host for viruses. Fluids wash viruses down to your stomach where the acids there kill them. Karate teaches us to be aware of our surroundings at all times and how to defend our selves. Times like this reinforce these principles. Bowing is a good way greet someone and show respect. Refrain from handshaking. If there should be any changes we keep you informed. Registration fees will be carried forward and extended into our next session. Thus there is no financial loss to anyone.Keep well. Keep safe. On behalf of all the Senseis of NWIK.Sensei Rick Stephens

I come to you with only karate, empty hands.
I have no weapons, but should I be forced
to defend myself, my honor, or my principals,
Should it be a matter of life or death, of right or wrong,
Then here are my weapons,
My empty hands.
